2. Mr. Chamberlain proposed, I understand, that the Board see no objection, and ask the Governor to consider and report to whether it is necessary to keep both the lighthouse on Waglan Island and that at Cape d'Aguilar; adding, however, that in any case the Waglan Island light must be maintained.
3. In this connection, I am to refer the Board to the correspondence that took place in 1888, when the question of constructing a lighthouse on Sau Rock was under consideration, and especially to Lord Fergusson's despatch enclosed in the letter from this Department of the 22nd of August, 1888.
